Comprehensive E-Learning Solution for Sexual Assault Responders <h3 data-sal-delay="200" data-sal="slide-up" data-sal-duration="800" data-sal-once="true">Sexual Assault Kit Initiative E-Learning Program</h3> Partnered with the Montana Department of Justice on their Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI) program, developing a comprehensive suite of 25 interactive online training courses. The program was specifically tailored for law enforcement agencies and medical professionals, aiming to enhance their skills and knowledge in dealing with sexual assault cases. The course content ranged from sexual assault facts, rape myths, and investigative procedures, to the handling of sexual assault kits, forensic examinations, and the application of trauma-informed approaches. Courses were developed using Adobe Captivate and were 508-compliant, demonstrating a strong commitment to accessibility. The project demanded meticulous content drafting and editing, efficient image capturing and editing, and precise voice recording and editing, all within the boundaries of best instructional design practices. This software is essential in tracking sexual assault kits throughout Wisconsin, providing survivors with valuable information about their kits' location and empowering them through transparency. The video was crafted to appeal to a wide audience, including legislators, law enforcement officers, forensic nurses, and crime lab staff, illustrating the role each party plays in the process. ICASS Service Center (ISC), an interagency-funded office within the State Department, operates these services abroad, providing policy guidance, consultations, training materials, and technical advice. We're developing these courses using Vyond to create animated videos, enhancing the user experience and engagement for State Department personnel. The project remains in progress, but the courses developed to date have been well received.
