Fingerprint Courses Project
The Fingerprint Courses project with the Montana Department of Justice aimed to enhance training efficiency and accuracy for law enforcement officers and related staff regarding the modern procedures of fingerprint capture, processing, and submission, all crucial to criminal investigations. The project was centered on the development of 34 online courses, designed to provide comprehensive training in alignment with statutory requirements, fingerprint capture techniques, livescan device usage, and data security measures.
This online training platform offered a robust solution to the ongoing demand for updated and refresher training due to staff turnover within criminal justice agencies, while allowing 24/7 access for trainees across Montana.
The Challenges
- Creating 34 unique online courses required extensive knowledge of the subject matter and close collaboration with DOJ experts for the accuracy of information.
